Everton blog - Alan Smith to sign, Beattie to be sold

Gaffer David Moyes will bid £7m for Man United's Alan Smith in January, with James Beattie being sold off to Bolton for £3m. Beattie has been a real let down for me, so we need to move him on. Problem is, I don't think Smith is the right signing for us either. We need a big target man upfront that Johnson can feed off.
