dealing with racial prejudice from co-workers

March 6 2007 at 9:57 PM

I always thought that as caregivers we are on the same side. I've practiced this throughout my life and my career. I love my work and have been in this field for 6 years now. I recently had the chance to work in hawaii - kauai to be exact. I thought "cool, work in hawaii" uh-uh. not so cool. Just an fyi - if you are not of 'their' race, you are nothing but dirt. They WILL NOT be nice. If they are it's only to your face. Thay make life horrible behind your back. So if you're ever offered the chance to go to kauai to work as a cna - decline. You'll thank me later!
