INSERVICE COORDINATORS

I HAVE A QUESTION----ARE INSERVICE COORDINATORS REQUIRED TO BE A REGISTERED NURSE? IN THE FACILITY I AM CURRENTLY WORKING PER-DIEM IN THE INSERVICE COORDINATOR IS AN LPN. IF YOU ASK ME I THINK WITH THAT TYPE OF JOB YOU SHOULD BE REQUIRED TO BE AN RN. I LIVE IN THE STATE OF NY BY THE WAY. DOES ANYONE KNOW THE ANSWER?? THANKS
