i'm in a ltc/rehab center. i never get report from my nurse or the previous nurse. my unit manager feels we dont need report because "it is known of our business and we should be using standard precautions at all times."
i think this is unfair because with the rehab we encounter new people daily. a little heads up would be nice when the person has hep c or other concerns.
with ltc i feel it is almost negligant to not tell us about a resident in decline or whatever the case maybe.
does anyone else have advice or experience with this?
