I've been a CNA for over thirty yrs. I don't know anything about LTC as I have always worked in a hospital in Critcal Care. I've seen many nurses come and go. Some of them sre do fixed on what they are doing they don't even notice what we do. I worked with a nurse once who was not very nice to me, very bossy I'm the nurse and your not. I didn't like her and she didn't seem to like me. When my Mom died and I was off for a couple of weeks they had her be me. When I returned to work she came to me and told me she had a whole respect for what I did and never wanted to do it again!! We became friends after that and still are even though we each have moved on to diffrent jobs her additude toward CNAs is much diffrent. For the most part the nurse I've worked with over the yrs have been great and taught me most of what I know, but some are just mean!! On the other hand you will find mean no matter what kind of work you do. Mary |
