I had a similar incedent. But it was at Cook. I wanted to give 2 weeks. I was sick the first week and told my boss that i was going to have to give notice. I wrote out a 2 week notice and it was rejected. with a " This will be your last day and we will still pay you for 2 weeks but you can not be rehired." I couldn't understand this so I took it up alot higher to corp. I found out that they couldn't hire someone til I was gone and they needed a full crew to put out the numbers. The no rehire part came by the lower manager saying I did not give 2 weeks notice. I am lucky I make a copy of all my correpondence with my employers. Anyway by giving them a copy I was put on a rehire list. I don't use them as a reference. I was there a year but You never know what is being said. I understand about how you feel. We do a damn good job at our work only for someone to turn around and do something like that.
