Response to being written up...

If you are written up, most likely it goes into your employee file with the nursing home. They keep a record of all your write ups. they use them in the future in case you have another write up. In some places, a write up on the same issue more than twice is suspension or dismissal from employment. It goes into the Registry if it is abuse if anykind, in that case, you will know, because you will not have a job! I know they are a pain. always relaying messages about what you need to do. They do not realize all that you are already doing. Hearing your name being called all day will reak havac on anybody's mentals! Just nicely ask her next time to approach you differently, the way she would want to be approached when under pressure. Because she is over you, she can and will write you up if she feels she has to. After all, she will have hear it to0 if someone else finds a resident in state that is inappropriate. maybe not as bad as you, but they take this things seriously. You work together, and you should not feel negative pressure from your immediate counterpart. Just remember, she probably wants you to sass her so she can write you up, so you be the better person.
