At my place it goes like this, "You can refuse care, but you cannot refuse the caregiver". Sometimes we make adjustments, especially showers, but the residents are told this, and if they do not like it they can go somewhere else. You need to get in touch with the social worker and let them know what is going on. Granted some of these people are old, but come on! They should just be glad someone is checking up on them! Also, make sure your nurse documents this behavior, and if she doesn't, document it yourself, and try to have another aide in the room with you. I hope things get better or you find a better place, because it isn't right to work under those circumstances.
