We have a resident that is like that and we as aides, not administration, have a guideline that at all times we go in with at lest two aides. Nothing is done with her without a second aide being present. Also we make sure that every comment or behavior is related to the nurse to be documented, that actually came from administration. If it is really bad I would suggest the aides keep a journal in which all behavior and comments are documented and signed off by more than one aide. We have had to do this before, that way if a complaint is made backup is there. Just in case the nurses would not document(heaven forbid!!) you have written backup and witness. Alway use the CYA rule which I am sure we all know as Cover your A**. Hang in there with proper documentation and backup the resident will eventually realize her behavior is backfiring on her.
