Response to Is Being a CNA Really ALL Bad ANd NOO GOOD |

Of course, everyone has different opinions on how they view the work, want to work, expectations, etc. I had, what I consider an advantage, to start out working in an ambulatory clinic, then to a hospital, then to LTC. Gave me a broader perspective on CNA work than some others may have even though I only practiced under 5 years.
Having said that, I really liked working in a hospital (med-surg/oncology) and of course, there were bad days and worse days along with "I can't believe everything is actually under control' days.
I did not like working in LTC. Clinic was just boring after awhile --- had great hours, relatively easy work, but repetitious (with very few tasks).
Jobs are very different although basic CNA skills needed overlap from hospital to LTC.
Just my perspective, for what it's worth........... | |
