Do any of you other cna's have a problem with getting reports from the nurse at the beginning of your shift? We don't. I have to finger through the nurses notes to find out what is going on with my residents! I work in a Rehabilitation center. Do they not understand how vital this is? I have learned to get a full assessment with just one glance at a resident now! I can tell if they can walk, weight bear just by looking and communicating with them. However, trial and error is not for me. We have brought this up at meetings, however, seems when the nurse neglects to tell us about something-it's ok! Not ok for us CNA's and so dangerous to the residents!I cannot even begin to tell you all the hell that breaks loose because the CNA is simply, misinformed-or...not informed at all!
