I agree. It should not be hard to get a day off for a doctor's appointment. You would figure working in the medical field they would understand that. I would keep my options open.
Where I work, people who are denied days off, usually call out! Staffing is horrible, and the only reason they have staff, is because the same girls do doubles over and over-and they work short! Our DON many times does not even bother to try get cna's to replace the ones that are missing! So we always work short, and residents and their families are always angry with us! What makes it so bad, is that this place is the last stop for most residents. This corporation is so money hungry that they take residents that many other facilities reject, such as the psych ward patients! We are not trained for them, and we do not have enough staff to keep these people happy and safe. My options to a new job are very open.
