If you have a union and they try to make an example of you then fight it. Make your union rep aware of what's going on and if they don't help call the union office. That's what they are there for and what you pay dues for. Aren't the reps elected by the staff? If they don't do their job get rid of them. If you don't take a stand they will keep abusing people.
