I heard from a girl in CA. who had completed her C.N.A course and was about to take the state test and she was going crazy trying to study the skills. As we talked I realized that she was studying the skills out of the class textbook. I asked her if her instructor give her a student handbook from the testing agency in her state (which is Primissor) and she said no. No wonder she was having such a hard time. The C.N.A textbook does show how to do skills but it is hard to follow when it comes to the state test. Plus there are steps in the test handbook that will not be in every textbook. I told her to go to the Promissor website and
download the student handbook. I am concerned that this may be happening to others. Each state has a testing agency they use and each agency has a student handbook explaining the skills that will be on the test. These handbooks are free to C.N.A. classes or can be seen on their websites. If anyone is in the same situation as this girl from CA. let me know. Sarah.
