When we finish up early- we don't dare let the supervisor know, she will find lots for you to do!! So we grab a snack, and head for the secret rooms. Yes...the residents rooms. I know, I know!! We shouldn't be sitting quietly in a sleeping resident's room, waiting for the end of our shift, but we are quiet and we're hiding from mother superior, and it happens so infrequently, and it does give you back your sanity. We might be considered employees who steal company time, but you see at our job, we often shorten our meal breaks and regular breaks when we are short staffed to get the work done, and never a thankyou or anything from the management. So we're just getting a little back, and we hurt no one considering all our work is done, and we're only talking 10-15 minutes here.
