Hi everyone. I am so confused! I have been a CNA for 3 weeks now and I still cannot figure out how to transfer a resident without hurting my back. Yes I know bend at the knees and lift straight up, yadda yadda yadda.......... I just cannot seem to get it. When I go to transfer a resident I take forever in figuring out where to place the wheel chair and go about transfering the resident. I need to lay on a heating pad for my lower back every night. All the regulars make it look SO SO easy. What is wrong with me! How can I learn better technique?
