Yeah... state likes to see alternative methods used instead of medication, which I agree with. Like you said... pharmacy reccommends a lower dose of a med that is working. Some of these residents have been diagnosed with schitzophrenia for most of thier life. One in particular has his whole history documented. (including putting one of his roomates in a coma that eventually died) In the last month or so he has punched 3 residents, threw a full pitcher of ice water at another, choked 2 CNA's... the list goes on. This happens every year when they start messing with his meds. I don't know... Its just frustrating.
