If at all possible, see if you can find someone, or a couple of people, willing to practice someplace.
Our instructor really 'came down' on the class. She had stated, up front, that we WOULD have to practice outside class. There was no way to pass the skills test with the very short amount of time we spent in class actually doing the skills --- so you're not along if you feel you're not prepared. It definitely showed, in a percentage of the class, who was doing their 'homework' (outside practice) and who was not.
