You are exactly right Patti, Where I work we all work together as a team and yes there are slackers but things run smoothly.There is usually 7 residents to an aide sometimes 9. We usually always have enough girls working (I work first shift). I have been here now for just over 3 months (new cna) When we come in in the morning the night shift fills us in and so on for us when the next shift comes in to relieve us. I get mad when I see other girls slacking which causes me more work or when I have to answer someone elses call light because they are talking to someone or just do not want to answer it, but i do it....it is called keeping the peace and doing my job...and no I am not one of the suckups that someone mentioned earlier..some day they will be called on it...and someone was the other day....As long as we do OUR part then we can go home knowing that we did our job and that MY residents were safe and happy for that shift.
