Is anyone here on the process of becoming a LPN or RN?

Hello everyone! I am a new CNA, wondering if anyone here is studying to become a RN or LPN, also I just moved to the state of Fl. and when I was in NJ they have told me that in order to work in a hospital as a CNA you need to have at least 6 months experience in a long-term facility, Is this true?
