I recently finished my LPN program at an Illinois community college after being a CNA for several years. The facility has the right to ask for anything they wish. No experience, some experience, whatever. The state usually requires current registry without provisions, but I am not sure about Florida. Any decent nursing program will be associated with a hospital, you'll see more hours on the floor than you want, trust me. If you are a decent CNA, you'll do fine in nursing school.
