This morning I took the CNA state exam, in the state of Utah. For my skills I passed off the vitals, then I chose a card with 5 different skills on it. The one where I had denture care, I thought would be extremely easy, because I cleaned many dentures when I did my clinicals. But the instructor kept asking me what is one of the most important things to remember when caring for dentures so they don't break when you drop them? And omg I FROZE, I had nooo idea why I couldn't remember or get the words out right. I stood there for like 4-5 mins and she was prompting me which I know isn't allowed alot on the test, then I finally said "You can fill the sink with water in case you drop them they won't break" and she said "okay that will do. but the one i was looking for was the washcloth, and i felt SOOOOOOO stupid because the wash cloth was sitting RIGHT in front of me

I feel like the instructor had to prompt me quite a bit which was not good, but after every skill she said "okay good" Omg I am so scared I didn't pass but I ALWAYS remembered to mention infection control, washing hands, privacy for the patient, and what not (post and pre procedures" Gahhhhhh. Why am I so nervous? And then for the written exam I know for a fact I missed quite a few questions, but there was also a good majority of them that I knew right off the bat. For the written we need to get 75% or better, so that would mean I was allowed to miss how many questions exactly? Will someone just help me not be so nervous, I am going crazy here and won't find out my results for another 5-10 days. Does it sound like I did good enough. I do NOT want to retake the tests, I don't know of anybody who has and I just want to become certified so I can get a job FINALLY. Someone please help.......I am so nervous I feel sick. Thank you in advance!
