I know how you feel. I think this problem comes from a result of bad CNA's & overworked CNA's. Purposely leaving your resident's wet is neglect and it is unacceptable. However, since I have worked in an LTC I can definately say that there is not enough time in a day. With the amount of residents I was given, they were lucky to be changed 3 times in one day. Not to toot my own horn, but I was a good CNA, however, even the best can be spread too thin. I find it hard to believe that all the CNA's are crappy workers. I think most are overworked. Too often we blame each other for what is really an issue that spiraled out of control because of poor staffing by management.

For these reasons and many others I work as a medical unit clerk. I can no longer deal with the stresses of LTC's. I really don't understand why something will not be done to make things right for the residents.
