Where I work skilled nursing unit, the nurses help the cna's. Team work is what it is called. Longterm is a little different there is no team work. But you know the old saying "work the job don't let the job work you". Consider a career change. Please do not be a career cna. There is no hope for a cna unless you work private duty with a good client and family members. Or you work in assistant living. Lastly work for yourself. If you take a client and license your self as your own company you can get paid the same amount of a nursing facility. for those of us who have worked with clients we want to just take home and can't. I am not married and have two small kids, I can open up one of my bedrooms to an elderly person.
You can also go back to school. Or change jobs and work as a cna part-time or prn. Some companies have casual positions where u can work one weekend out of a month. |
