Here's one for you, Residents by law have to be checked and changed every two hours. Now,for example if you were working 3-11, Your last round would be at 10pm. 11-7 has an hour to do another round, or the 11-7 has to take the responsability of the assignment. Another thing that I would suggest to you is make that first round as quickly as possable.You should not find any wet out beds, with one or two exceptoins, they have just did it, because if you find any urine rings around them, that means that the resident has been in the same position for more than two hours, that's negect and could be fired.
In my experiances in 25 years, if you start going in and quickly checking on your assignment, the people ahead of you will get the hint, even though you don't tell your nurse.and if worse comes to worse use your chain of comand. |
