Response to CNAs adjusting Oxygen?

The very first LTC I worked for was operated by the local government. Oxygen was considered a drug (lol when I think of oxygen as a drug!!! lol) Anyways, you can give someone too much oxygen and cause them to get really sick. Because it is a liability issues, many places will not allow a CNA to touch the oxygen tank or adjust the amount of oxygen a person receives. The last LTC I worked at could care less who turned on or adjusted the oxygen. I guess it depends where you work!
