I think I made a mistake!

I recently switched shifts from evenings to day shift. I have had a hard time getting into a routine on days. I know an afternoon aide that wanted the day shift postition but didnt get it because I had more seniority over her, tell me that one of the day shift aides that I work with was going around saying that I should have stuck to afternoons. I feel like quitting and going somewhere else. At the place I am at now, they are extremely short handed with aides quitting left and right. the ones that are still there are having to do 12 hour shifts sometimes 3 days a week because of this. I don't really care though. I still want to leave. I just need to vent and ask has anyone ever gone through this before? by the way, I've been at this facility for almost 5 years on evening shift.
