Love it that is...And more often then not, when I tell people what I do, they say things along the lines of, " oh bless you darling" or "thank goodness for you girls"...such as that. My Nurses thank me every time I leave a shift. I have never in fact got a negative reaction....And it is true...without us, Nurses would be pushing pills on patients who could care less at that point because thay have not been bathed in 3 months. Primitive functions as our job requires, basic human needs..no one can live happily without.
Go with CNA, work your way up...not only will you have a great feel for what you are doing as a Nurse, but the CNA's beneath you will have greater respect for you...and you will have a much greater appreciation for being a Nurse.
