We have NO EMPLOYEE lounge. We are encouraged to eat in the same dining room as our patients. (this is not an LTC establishment, just a rehabilitation center) The entire time you are in the dining room trying to eat, the patients are asking you to do things for them. By the time my lunch is over, I have a list with a million tasks to fulfill. It has gotten so bad, I eat my dinner in my car. My colleagues laugh at me, but I said unless I am getting paid lunch breaks, that is where I will eat so I can eat in peace. Am I wrong for doing that? |
