The character Lucrezia is really something, I'll give her that (and she's played by a pretty incredible actress). She can play the grieving sister so convincingly and then turn right around and demand that the killers finish the job. She makes my skin crawl, she's so evil.
And the scene with Raquel and Jose Antonio and one of the killers had me on the edge of my seat. I kept wondering, who's going to pull the trigger--R or JA--although I did think that JA would not have the stomach to do it. I found it ironic that the lowlife asked for mercy, to consider his family. I wanted to hear JA yell out, "And what about my family--did you show them any mercy?"
What I can't understand is Raquel's "happiness" at actually having killed someone. I don't know--I don't know how I would react if someone had killed my newly wedded husband and the rest of my family. My altruistic self says that I could forgive--while another part says I would want vengeance, but not to the extent of annihilating an entire family. I would figure out a way to hit them where it would obviously hurt the most--the pocketbook. And then I would confront them all and tell them why I did it--and then everyone would know that it was Lucrezia who had arranged the massacre.
And that Fernanda is a trip, isn't she? She may be a member of one of the most powerful families in Peru, but in any other circles, she'd be considered a slut. That's what she is, plain and simple. She just met the guy, for Pete's sake, and just like that can so easily go to bed with him! I know a lot of her problems stem from her relationship, or should I say, lack of relationship with her mother. A mother so driven by money, that she doesn't care about her children. But our lives come down to choices. Fernanda could very easily leave home and be on her own, but it is so obvious that she likes not having to worry about money, so she stays, in a house "que la deprime."
Of course, I don't excuse JA either. He could have been more forceful and not taken her to his room, but I guess that's part of his gameplan. Who knows?

So far this novela has not disappointed--I'm waiting for the day when Milagros enters the de la Torre house. It should get even more interesting then. I hope.
