Wanted: New candidate for Craigslist search link

August 15 2008 at 4:45 PM

I just noticed the "labor-saving global craigslist search link" up top of FS&W is malfunctioning and the issue seems to be out of the hands of whoever is hosting it.

I originally chose that link ( http://search.restrainingbolt.com ) because it was global. All the other CL combined searchers I've seen were USA or North America only. But since the thing seems to have lost its "actual results" capability, I'm open to suggestions for a new one?

Peace, -Mac

... just post as many as you can come up with and I'll post links to several up there instead of just the one

Thanks in advance folks!

good site but...

The site does not list all Fiat listings. There are several here locally (Norfolk Virginia) that aren't mentioned and I'm sure there are probably others, too.

Two things to consider....

There's the old manual kind that I've used for ages that gets great results, using standard google and entering the words "craigslist Fiat" the responses line up perfectly with only a few spurious interruptions.

Another option would be if someone wrote a script that just arrayed the results on an output page that could be hosted on the NEW and IMPROVED Xweb 2.0....eh? That way, anyone anytime could easily peruse the current and archived craigslist thingy.

The only thing that I quesion on this is the ordering of results, I saw New Jersey pop of first and I can't figure why....it's not geographically extreme or alphabetically orthogonal, so I'm wondering about the ordering of results. I also don't know about the age sorting of the results.
