9/24/02 - Johana warns Tulia of Jenny's interest in Wilson. Pablo finally arrives at the party. Cindi is serenaded and Cristian cries. Tulia takes Wilson to one side and warns him hat she is watching. When Jenny asks Wilson to dance, he says no. Then Johana flirts with him, teases him into dancing with her. After Pablo sees Jenny spilling something on Wilson and running off, Johana tells him that she is in love with him. Pablo thinks it is funny. Wilson goes to Jenny's bedroom, tells her there is nothing between him and Johana. He tells her that everybody thinks she is a child, if her mother or brother thought there were something, they would kill him. He admits there is something between them. When her mother calls, he heads for the window, but kisses her before escaping. In the garage later, Cristian tells Cindi to go away with him, he really loves her and Pablo doesn't, tells her the pregnancy test could be wrong. Wilson, from under a car, hears the whole conversation, sees the two kissing.
Antonio goes to his car, drinks out of a bottle. Alejo watches him from his mother's bedroom. She tells him not to worry, he will go to a hotel. But Antonio falls asleep in the car. The next morning,
The next morning, Maria hears JR and Ana arguing about Ligia: is he anxious to see her? He tells her all he feels for her now is odio, tells Ana to prepare the best wedding of the year.
Wilson hears Genaro on the phone re the trip to Mexico. It will take a week to get from Mexico to Miami. Genaro makes all kinds of plans, tells him they have to become familiar with Mexican culture because if the gringos discover they're from Colombia, they'll never manage, wonders about Wilson's lack of enthusiasm. Wilson admits there is a girl, very young. When Genaro realizes it would be her first time, he tells Wilson to take advantage of his last day.
Eduardo goes to Antonio's office and accuses him of using his wife, of sleeping with her. He punches Antonio and Nestor drags him out of the office. He goes to Sofia, tells her what he did. She tells him to stay out of her life.
Maria tells Ferney to take care of her father in Colombia, then asks him why he is so hard on her mother. He tells her that her mother likes to be treated by that. She promises she will not to talk to Pablo again but reminds him that Pablo is the father of his child. JR tells her the father is Federico and not to forget it.
When Ligia goes to the office, Antonio insists on talking to her, says he got drunk, was weak. She can't believe his nerve, drunk for 2 months? She tells him she is going to divorce him.

9/25/02 - Alejo and Maria (Rodolfo) email each other, and they learn that his parents have separated and his father is Antonio Santamarino, which surprises and thrills Federico. Then Federcio tells Rodolfo to make sure that his marriage to Maria appears in the best papers.
Ana tells Maria the story of her father, Ligia and her. How Ligia's parents objected to him because he was poor, as did hers. His biggest ambition has been to be accepted by society. So he broke all contact with his family. He has a sister, Rosita, of whom they know nothing. Ana surprises Maria by telling her that her family didn't accept him either. He married her expecting it to be an entré into society, but it wasn't. She married him in part out of rebellion and in part out of love, but with the years has realized that her family was right. They come from different worlds. Society tolerates him because he has money and money is power, and they need him. But he is still on the outside. She tells Ana she is lucky to be marrying Federico, whose family is on the same level, as she. But Maria wonders if his family will accept the daughter of JR. Ana reminds her of the power of money.
Ligia talks with her lawyer who explains that everything is owned 50/50. The usual way to handle things is to see the property and divide the money. Re the business, she can share her half and start a new business. Her lawyer tells her that divorce is even harder than what she is going through now, she must be sure of what she is going to do. Ligia tells her she is sure.
Bernardo laughs at Antonio's situation, says the lawyer is just for show. Antonio isn't so sure, couldn't live without Ligia. Her lawyer then talks with them, assures Antonio that Ligia doesn't even want to see his face, plans to start her own business. After she leaves, Bernardo tells Antonio he should consider some kind of marriage counseling.
In the auto shop, Maria and her father wait for Wilson to arrive to fix a car, then discover it has already been fixed. And Jenny suspects that Wilson heard her conversation with Cristian. She and her father go to the site for the wedding and arrive in time for Cindy to prevent Wilson's talking to Pablo. Wilson has already told Pablo that he doesn't think Cindy wants to marry him, but not why.
José Ramon arrives in Colombia and starts making calls, first to Sofia, and requests that they not tell Antonio about the meeting.
Eduardo brings flowers to Sofia, tells her that it is over with his young wife, realized that she is too young for him, he's not interested in partying all night, etc. She asks if his wife has agreed to the separation, and he says he assumes so since she stayed behind in Brazil with a young man of her age. She realizes that he was left not the reverse and tells Eduardo he has no chance with her.
Antonio tells Ligia it is time to attend Pablo's wedding. She tells him she offered flowers for the wedding when she thought Pablo was a good person. Antonio starts to explain how she is wrong about Pablo.

9/26/02 - Ligia can't believe the story Antonio tells her, seems to believe that Pablo is innocent but can't believe her husband and Bernardo could do such a thing, could use not only Pablo but Maria. Ligia rejects the idea of counseling, tells him she is going to divorce him.
Sofia tells Eduardo that she loves Antonio and, in spite of everything, believes that he loves her. Then she tells him they must decide about the land sale. There are two potential buyers, one is JR and she is having lunch with him tomorrow.
Jenny sneaks out of the house. Pablo returns home and sees the robe Jenny used to get out of the house. He goes into her room, unties the rope and brings it inside. He wakes his mother, asleep on the sofa, and tells her to go to bed. Pablo calls Maria and her mother answers. He doesn't give his name at first but she guesses who it is, tells him that if he can't respect their daughter at least respect the family. She hangs up and Maria thanks her.
Wilson talks with Cindy about Cristian. She tells him it was just a mistake, the result of anger at Pablo and everybody for thinking only of her baby. Wilson doesn't believe that she is really in love with Pablo, tells her she is making the worst mistake of her life. But he also tells her that Cristian is a thief, is the reason he has to go away. Cindy gets up "to go to the bathroom", greets Jenny and leaves. Jenny joins Wilson and, eventually, admits that she and Cindy planned this. He tells her he will take her home; she walks out in a huff and he catches up with her.
Cindy goes to another night spot and talks to Cristian. She tells him she can't imagine anything worse than robbing from good people like her father. She tells him she likes him but would never have anything to do with a thief like him. She leaves. Cristian goes home, drunk, finds his mother and Pablo awake. (She has discovered that Jenny is gone and asks Pablo if he is sure that Wilson won't take advantage of Jenny.) He accuses her of always favoring Pablo, who is a coward for marrying somebody he doesn't love, says that one day he will have real money not just a few pesos.
Jenny and Wilson are in a room somewhere, she gives him a condom, tells him she know what she is doing. They kiss. Then he stops and buttons up her blouse, because he loves her. He wants to do things the right way. On the street, they kiss goodnight and Johana sees them. They talk and she tells him she realizes that her feelings are stronger than she thought. He tells her he is leaving in the morning, that nothing happened between him and Jenny but he does like her. Johana tells Wilson that she faked Cindy's pregnancy results.
When Cindy goes home, her father tells her that they will take Wilson to the airport, together, in the morning.

9/27/02 - Wilson confronts Cindy about the fake pregnancy, asks what their father would think if he knew. Cindy seems to convince him that it would hurt him more to know than not to know. But she goes to Pablo's home and invents an excuse to get him away so Wilson can't find him. Wilson arrives later, learns that Cindy and Pablo went out, leaves a goodbye message for Jenny (who is there but has told her mother to say she isn't), knowing she is there.
When Pablo and Cindy get back, his mother tells him that Wilson left him a message that they have to talkl before 10, that it was urgent. Cindy says she'll wait with Pablo because she didn't get a chance to say goodbye, but she has to go for a fitting or something. Pablo and his mother sense she is worried about the call but don't pay much attention.
Antonio goes to his house for clothes for the wedding, asks Ligia to come with him. She refuses. He asks Bernardo because he can't go alone.
JR tries to find out who Pablo Guerrero is because he doesn't appear as any of Antonio's associates in the various company documents
Jeunny and the dress designer wonder at how thin Cindy is, even thinner than when she first bought the dress.

20-02-2001 Genaro y Wilson se ven obligados a dejar todas sus pertenencias para poder viajar. Alvarito le cuenta a Pablo que no se pudo concretar el viaje de luna de miel. Tulia le exige a Cristian acompañar a Pablo a la iglesia. María se muestra preocupada por lo que José Ramón le pueda hacer a Pablo. Berni no desaprovecha oportunidad para hacer sentir mal a Pablo. La novia llega a la Iglesia. 21-02-2001 Wilson y Genaro deciden los últimos detalles para lograr con éxito el viaje. El sacerdote le comenta a Pablo que tiene que tomar una decisión muy importante y que no sabe cómo asumirla. Ismael advierte que si Pablo no llega no hay viaje. El padre Joaco da un sermón con el que intenta convencer a los novios de desistir de la boda. Cristián llega a la Iglesia en una parte muy importante de la ceremonia. En la Iglesia los papeles se tergiversan… el padre terminando confesándose. 22-02-2001 Pablo trata de hacer entrar en razón a Cindy, quien se muestra muy avergonzada. Wilson y Genaro logran recuperar parte de su equipaje. Rafael habla con Cindy, quien se encuentra destrozada. Pablo le confiesa a Tulia que viaja a buscar a María y le pide que se lo diga a Antonio y al Coronel. 23-02-2001 A pesar de la vergüenza Rafael le explica a los invitados que no habrá matrimonio. Antonio no entiende la explicación que Tulia le da sobre la sorpresiva partida de Pablo. Wilson y Genaro se sorprenden al ver aparecer a Pablo cuando el avión está a punto de salir. Berni trata de convencer a Antonio de que Pablo es un irresponsable que abandonó su trabajo. A pesar de las pretensiones, Berni termina disfrutando de la reunión.

USA 9/30/02 - Wilson and Genaro start loading boxes onto the plane. Wilson confesses to him after a while that his sister is getting married because of a lie. Don Ismael tells them they can't go if Pablo doesn't show up, also cannot take their suitcases. Genaro hides a bilingual dictionary in his overhauls.
Antonio and Bernardo go to the church, greet Pablo and apologize for the absence of Ligia. Cindy arrives at the church, having a bit of trou le walking in heels, and Pablo imagines it is Maria walking down the aisle. At the altar, Cindy guesses that Pablo got his suit from "esa". The priest gives a sermon designed to prevent the marriage: if you don't know each other, don't marry; if you want to change the other, don't marry; if you don't love each other deeply, don't marry; if you don't expect to live together forever, don't marry. Rafael and Tulia, after the priest ends, wonder if he is trying to prevent the wedding. The Padre asks each if he/she is certain. Each answers yes, but when it comes to announcing they are married, the priest stops, says he can't marry them because a marriage based on lies and deceptions isn't valid. He asks to talk to the two alone. Pablo says he doesn't understand the part about the lie. The padre tells him he wasn't refering to him but to Cindy. When Cindy denies anything, the padre says he has no choice but to say it: Cindy isn't pregnant. Wilson told him. In addition, Cindy took the pills on purpose to pretend she was trying to kill herself. Bernardo tells Antonio this is the most entertaining wedding he's ever been to. The padre leaves them alone to decide. She can't believe it when he tells her he isn't going to marry her. She tells him she did it because she can make him happy and that other can't. She begs him. He tells her amor es libre. He leaves her. Pablo leaves the church. Rafael asks the padre why he prevented the marriage; he tells Rafael he learned some news that made it imperative.

USA, 10/1/02 - Cindy admits to her father she isn't pregnant, that she told the priest in confession and he, at the last moment, convinced her to tell the truth. Pablo tells his mother how and why he is going to Maria in Florida, gives her a check, tells her to call the Colonel or Antonio if she needs help. She goes to the church, tells the attendants not to be sad, they all know the two muchachos and should be happy they realized their mistake in time. She invites them to the party so as not to waste all the food. Pablo gets in a cab and heads for the airport. At the party, Tulia tells Antonio and the Colonel that Pablo is going to the U.S. with Wilson. Antonio tells her it is a shame, María won't forgive him when she knows the truth. Jenny tells Cindy what hurts the most is that she used her to entrap her brother. Cindy tries to soften the blow by telling her it was Johana who faked the pregnancy test. But Jenny still feels used. She then goes and tries to beat up Johana. Pablo gets on the plane and the three try to cope with the cold; Pablo is in the worst shape because he, like the others, couldn't take on his suitcase and didn't have the chance to put on layers under coveralls; he is wearing just a short-sleeved shirt. Antonio tells Bernardo he's worried about Pablo, what will happen when JR learns the truth. Bernardo reminds him he is just an employee, not his son. But Antonio answers that Pablo saved both his life and his business. Ligia changes her hair style and the way she dresses; Alejo is impressed. But he becomes jealous when he learns that his father went to Pablo's wedding. Cindy, very drunk, makes a scene at the party. Bernardo can't believe Pablo would be involved with two such different women. Cindy accuses Antonio and Bernardo of corrupting Pablo, of turning him into a different person, an elegant person, like a son. Tulia apologizes to Antonio and tells him that Pablo is flying in one of his cargo planes.
