has the music stopped for good?

April 29 2006 at 5:06 PM

Hi, just checked the website and was gutted to see that no more gigs are planned, I only discovered blakey last year when the Yards played, and was hoping to visit a lot more often.

Is this just a temporary thing or has the music stopped for good?

I'm sure we'll do some more in the future. I'm just taking a break from the music scene after 7 years of constant organizing and promoting.

Thanks
Paul

Paul needs time to grow his hair back into his Rock n Roll style.Like Samson the length of his hair obviously affects his super-powers.

Hopefully no more than a year or so will pass before he gets his Harvey Goldsmithlike promoting powers back to full strength.

Well I for one hope to god he does!!

Sad to hear Paul but I hope you enjoy your 'retirement'.

Thanks for all your hard work and efforts in the past. They have been much appreciated.

No doubt we will still get up there at sometime shortly to see you.

All the best

Derby Steve.

Sorry to hear the venue may have played its final gig. I've enjoyed a few down the years. A great, intimate venue where the audience and band become one. You can keep you Arena style venues. Give me the back room of a pub, with good ale and low ceilings any day !
