It is significant to me because it was my wife who remembered this passage more than ten years ago, and I have been quoting Durant in my speeches based on the memory of my wife. I had the impression that it will be in his Mansions of Philosophy, but unfortunately I could not locate it after going through the book again. I don't have a copy of the book anymore and hence I would appreciate if you can email a copy of the speech or chapter that contained this point about health, character and education. Will Durant has been a constant source of inspiration to me since my student years. He represents one of the most balanced person I have known, a person full of wisdom. He is able to catch the core of complex philosophy and rewrite it in his own gentle and highly readable way. But his greatest message is his own life, and this is what I admire in him most.
