UNDERSTANDING DURANT

by

Mr.Durant's words inspire everyone who reads them to look at philosophy differently. If Kant made philosophy complex Durant certainly enhanced its comprehension for the lay man. However, to understand Mr.Durant's works we have to be well read in subject of history.

The question in my mind is: Is Mr. Durant a great philosopher or a historian? I think both. But is he a historian of philosphy or a philosopher of history?
