I have been a Will Durantophile since I was very young. Since that time I have collected, or tried to collect, everything he ever wrote, spoke or was overheard to say. My ultimate dream was to digitize it all and put it on a disk that I could access anytime I wished. Now that I have discovered this fine website I have somewhat modified my dream: it is my fervent hope that this website can serve that purpose!
What I would like to have happen is that all the material I have collected can somehow be digitized (presently it is all on paper and in photocopy form) and accessed by all who love Will and Ariel Durant.
I'm not sure about copyright laws regarding Newspaper articles, but many of these are from the 20's and 30's and copyright may longer be a concern.
Finally, I have one piece of Will Durant memorabilia I treasure and would love to share: while perusing the University of Washington library I came across a copy of "The Age of Faith" inscribed by Will Durant to a friend and signed with his autograph on a blank page! I checked the book out, cut out the page and framed it on my wall where it hangs today. I would look forward uploading this document.
So sorry for not being brief, but I've got to go now . . . I hear Elvis at my door . . . He can't sleep a wink at Graceland 'cause of all the hubbub.
