Found the B40 sweet spot

I pulled the B40 down again today and polished the inside of the receiver with 320 grit wet-sandpaper and cleaned it up with some brake cleaner. I then added a little more heavy tar to the spring, coated the guide with more moly, lubed the interior of the compression tube with a thin layer of moly and the outside with a thicker layer of clear. I also pulled the trigger group out and found the hard-cocking issue. The piston catch was contacting the aluminum fixture that the trigger housing is pinned into. I took a small dremel bit and cleaned out the area that it was contacting, then polished it with 320 sandpaper. I also put moly on all of the trigger group contact surfaces, the dry lube was not nearly sufficient. The trigger was kicking my butt, no matter what adjustment I made, so while I had the trigger group on the bench, I pulled the trigger-stop pin and looked at how the 2 stages were contact the sear. I adjusted it to where I could feel the second stage catch. I took a wood rasp to the front inside face that was but too thick and contacting the cocking lever and straightened the stock out.
It dieseled quite a bit for the first ten shots, but the raspy cocking went away and the twang is now gone as well. It stacks every kind of pellet I shoot through it on top of one another, so accuracy is incredible. However, definately a little hold-sensitive. Not as bad as the X1000 I have, but you definately want to sight it in with your hands on it like you're going to shoot it. I initially sighted it in across a soft blanket, the accuracy was there, but the minute I laid a hand on it, the groups changed positions, so a re-sight-in was necessary.
So I've got the rifle in the sweet spot...I think....at least I'm in love with it. Although, I think the stock is made of Balsa wood...lol...REALLY soft! I noticed a hairline crack in the back of the stock, behind the receiver. I releived the area and the crack didn't propagate more after 100 or so more shots....but...does anyone know where I can get a TX stock at a reasonable price? I've searched the classified's on here, but no luck....
The count is 3 chickens (this thing just chills them) and a large bullfrog at 25 yds that made the mistake of keeping me awake at night....he hopped into the edge of a small pond in my yard while I was shooting into a board on the other side...shift of crosshairs and thump...he tasted good for dinner.
So, if anyone knows where I can get a stock reasonably..please let me know.

Thanks to all you guys for the help..this thing is really a sweet shooter.

Jamie
