| In my experience accuracy is like a lot of things where more than one variable is in play. You can optimise something like a pellet type, then in working on say the crown, choke or chamber to it's utmost performance find that it's not really time to address the trigger 'cuz the pellet isn't right any more.
Sooner or later, smaller groups becomes a mult-headded Hydra for sure.
That's one of the reasons I like it when we know the gun is solid, it comes down to sight picture and trigger control. Only two issues, and they don't inter-react much. I agree the long 'lock time' is unfortunate (or another challenge, depending....), but remember the old military dogma "Breathe, squeeze, freeze". I like to 'hang in there' and watch the impact, I find it makes my follow through work right. It's like what they teach in Trap shooting, to follow the (clay) bird and then track the biggest chip. It forces you to keep the gun moving as part of correct follow through. I figure if I keep focused on the bull watching for the impact I can't let the gun get too far away.
Good shooting.
