Response to Are you happy with your B-40 ?

and first of all, compared to buying one 'out of the box,' you get an MM version for just a few dollars more.

my MM version is smooth as butter. cocking and trigger.

the B-40 is definitely a springer and when you want to put all your pellets into the same hole, it will teach you 'springer discipline.'

...and it's heavy.

when i pick up my qb79 after shooting the B-40, it feels like a helium balloon.

it is harder to cock than the qb36-1, but easier than the daisy/winchester 1000x. i am not particularly strong and i can shoot it for hours.

but the B-40 has the power and the accuracy to put a pellet where you want it, and while it does not like every pellet on earth, it's a lot less fussy than my QB79, which ONLY likes JSB exacts.

if you offered me what mike gets for one, including shipping, i wouldn't sell it. you'd have to pay me extra to be without it until i could get another from mike.

i find that bench-resting it on a front rest only, (a caldwell 'rock jr.') with a cotton work glove between the rest and the gun to make it slippery, works best for me.

and my own testing lead me to rest it on it's balance point, not right next to the trigger guard as many people do.

i rest my trigger hand on a sandbag, i don't touch the gun to my shoulder, and it just tickles the whiskers on my cheek. YMMV.

also, i like the beat and it's easy to dance to
