Response to Tube strength comparison
Crosman 2240 tube, Crosman 2240 tube plug with an oringed plug inside. Dummied valve body fastened as I do all my PCP conversions.

At 8,000psi the valve anchor holes elongated 0.005" and little change to 10,000psi

Test stopped as you mention, my pump and gauge maxes out at 10K.

Since then have purchased a 20,000psi gauge but no pump yet.
