Stock, mine was really, really hard to get a pellet into the barrel. Took some 400grit sandpaper rolled into a gentle taper and worked on it a while until they went in with a moderate amount of thumb pressure. Have heard that many are like this so don't worry about opening it up a bit. Accuracy was not negatively affected, in fact it seems to shoot better with less force being applied to the skirt on loading.
