That's because folks sometimes do things in pursuit of max power - like shimming the hammerspring until they create a grossly oversprung hammer - that increase valve duration to such an extreme extent that there's not enough gas left in the valve for hammer bounce - or debounce - to matter very much. And of course when hammer debounce doesn't matter, then neither does an HDD.
The Archer HDD is extremely effective when power mod's are limited to improving gas flow - as with the Archer XP power kit or similar valve, transfer port, and bolt mod's.
But if the mod's are unknown, then so is the effectiveness of the HDD.
