Am one of those guys that hasn't found a good place for a .25 in my shooting. Do own one, and it is accurate and powerful, but haven't a real use for the .25.
Usual critters that get shot are pest birds and tree squirrels. Neither of these really need all the "oomph" a hot-rod .25 can give.
The only long range critters are pest birds. Trajectory and accuracy rather than power, so have been using a very fast 5mm.
Only game use the .25 gets is the occasional garbage raiding opossum, and it just isn't all that far to my garbage cans. (jack light...shoot 'em...walk up...shoot 'em again...bag him and put in the can he was raiding).
But if a .25 tickles you, or you have larger critters to shoot than I normally do, would be a good choice.
