I have been wanting a 25cal for a few years now and finally got around to building one. My goal was to have a light small hunting rifle in 25cal shooting around 40fpe that gave me atleast 8-10 good shots on a low psi fill and cheap!! Although I didnt think I would go this far with it! Lets just say the only thing QB on it now is just the trigger. I made a new breech, valve, hammer, spring guide, barrel band and end plugs. The breech assembles almost like a crosman but I dont have to pull the barrel to remove it. 2 screws removed from the breech and remove the barrel band and its off the tube. I dont have to take it out of the stock. The tube is a Haley tube that I modded to cock the hammer rather than the push to cock bolt a QB has (Thanks for the idea Robert it works great) I machine it use a brass transfer port like a PCP would use and I also machined it for a power adjuster, I done that to help me in tuning it. I modded the factory QB stock to help me see through my scope. So far my ugly black rifle is shooting very good. Nice and accurate. I think Im done tuning it for awhile. here is my results so far (I also included some pics of my QB HW barreled 22cal that I built a few years back. I couldnt hepl myself I had to show it too)
2300 fill, JSB king pellet. (25gr..I think?)
