We've said very similar things except that he suggests a flexible hose connector and achieves more shots per fill than me by chilling the gun prior to filling.
One other thought...
To me, bulk filling is a bit like learning to ride a bike. The first couple of times I did it, it seemed very difficult and I was not very successful, achieving only a few shots per fill. Yet with practice I achieved much better results, even though I'm not sure of what I did differently!
Good luck. Bulk filling certainly makes sense if you shoot a lot.
