It sits right in the middle of its elevation range, using the factory front sight. The stock, unfortunately, has a repaired wrist break. I carefully masked off the grip area with painters tape and an exacto blade, then bedlinered it. It covers most of the break, but it is still visible on the other side. The butt spacer is a piece of 3/4" plastic trim board, painted with Krylon Fusion. I chose red, just for something a little different.
Your picture of the sidelever breech shows the screw holes for the flat-top rail. I hope they are there. Otherwise I will need to have it drilled and tapped.
