I had a Sumatra .22 carbine for a very short time. They are super hard hitting little rifles. A great value in my opinion, all metal and wood, decent build quality, repeater, all for a price much more on target with single shot PCP's. I think the thing that keeps them from being more popular is that they are a really different looking air rifle. The straight western style stock is more akin to something you'd shoot off the back of a horse than something you'd rest on sandbags. I've heard other people complain that they just don't like the little hunting scene on the side of the reciever...I think it's cool:) I personally didn't keep my Sumatra because I also got a Career707 .177 around the same time. I am more of a target shooter, so the .177 and longer air tubes on the Career had me sold. My Career, which is very similar but with an inline magazine, is my most accurate long range plinker. The accuracy of that gun is just amazing. The downside of the Career is that it has to be adjusted for each different pellet you try, so finding the pellet your gun likes can be tough. Mine likes Crosman Heavies, which was only the second pellet I tried in it, so I guess I got lucky:)
