My first attempt at shaping (pics)

This started as a DIY blank from Michael in Florida.

I filed and sanded up to 400 grit. I was too lazy to attempt shaping a cheekpiece.

Then eight coats of tung oil.

hey - that looks really nice. do you have a pic of the blank before you went to work on it? it'll let us see just how much sawdust you made.

also, would you post contact info for the source of the blank?
