Since I found the dovetail adapter and luckily obtained it from Dan in the classfieds in March, all my air pistols are scoped, and up to now I got beeman P1 in .177 and .20, 2 pieces beeman P17 which are best accuracy and least power, and among all of them the RWS Diana P5 is the most powerful and hardest hitting, all of them are zeroed at 15 meters and all accurate, while for small game hunting, the P5 is dead on within 20 meters, I love the P5 the best, just took 7 turtle doves on last saturday, but it's also the largest in size, but small enough to carry all the time in my car, anyone knows any other thing stronger in power but not too large in size spring pistol or small carbin that could help me taking turtle doves up to 35 or better to 40 yards ?

It's shooting day tonight, I put an empty beer can 30 yards away, with the can's bottom face to myself, I was shooting rested sandbag on my car, aiming 1.5" higher, wow, I could hit the can's bottom so many times, will try on those doves 30 yards next time.

Don't know where you are but...

Shooting doves is bad for hunters everywhere! They are protected, and as far as I know, this is not a hunting season anywhere in the US. This is breeding season! You're giving us a tough road as legitimate shooters & pest control people. Besides which, doves are so nearly tame they sit still as one approaches and it's not even a challenge. As other writers have responded to other foolish writers, THINK before you start blasting away at anything living that moves! God help the misguided/unguided missiles destroying the world!

Turtle Doves are Not Morning Doves

April 30 2010, 4:24 AM

THINK before you start blasting away with your Mouth. It must be because it's 4:30am and I'm still up that explains why I would even concider wasting my time posting this. You remind me of when my children were little and did not know when to be quite,as in mommy, mommy look what he did. There might be seasons for hunting Morning Doves and then again they could be protected, depends where you live. I'm not sure about Turtle Doves either, might be,might not be,I don't know for sure. Do you ? Also if you go far enough south there are birds that might be breeding year round, but then I'm sure you knew this. What qaulifies you to tell some one else how to behave. People like you scare me as you'll be the first running to some one with your little bits of information. I could go on and on but what would be the point ? You should be old enough to know better, maybe you just had a misguided moment. Anyhow nice shooting Charlie, eat a few for me,bin a while since I had any. Now I'm gonna' git yelled at. Oh well,I feel better.
