I have the 90 deurometer o rings and am having a helluva time getting those tough, little rings onto that tiny part with not much to grab onto.

Pros: What is your trick?

A bench vise and hot water

Clamp the check valve into a bench vise, then drop the O-ring into hot water to make it more supple. Retrieve it with tweezers and work quickly to stretch it into place.

Silicone grease isn't necessary

for getting the O-ring installed but if it makes it easier for you, do it. I find sometimes it makes it easier and sometimes it makes it more difficult. Try it both ways and see what works best for you.

You do want some on it when you put the check valve back into the fill assembly.
